Malibu Patrol has canine units available for our clients. Each canine has been specifically trained to support the work of Malibu Patrol officers.
Our most popular canine is Rusty, a 2-year-old Golden Retriever who is trained as our Customer Service K-9. He enjoys attending parties of any kind, chasing tennis balls and playing in the park. At 105 pounds, he can pounce with power!
Our other canines are by request or special assignment only and can be used to search for illegal substances, drugs or used in a patrol role.
Officers working in this role provide their own canine and maintain required training.
